Fund Projects
At Future Hope we have many projects at various stages that help support children in need. Some are short term, some long term and some ongoing. There are several ways you can get involved – financially, hands on, or by providing material or supplies. All contributions towards our projects will help give children hope for a brighter future.
Ramsay’s Merlot to Malaria Project
This is a very special project to honour the memory of Ramsay Wells and his generous support of Future Hope. Ramsay was our auctioneer at our first Gala Night and his generous donation of countless bottles of wine and enthusiastic energy on the night helped raise significant funds to support the work of Future Hope. Less than a year later he was tragically killed in a car accident. His family knew of his love and support for Future Hope and wanted to create a legacy in his memory. Ramsay’s Merlot to Malaria project will provide much needed mosquito nets to help prevent against malaria for the children in Uganda. More details to follow.
‘The Block’ – Uganda
Once we are free to travel overseas, we will be planning our next trip… ‘The Block – Uganda’! We will be renovating parts of the school and church to address the safety and hygiene conditions as well as drainage and basic structural problems. When complete this will greatly improve the lives of children at New Seasons Nursery and Primary School and Bridge Christian Church in Kampala.
Sno Cone Trailer Build
A local school in Emerald is currently building a customised trailer for our Sno Cone fundraising events. The basic trailer will be completed soon, and we’re looking for businesses and individuals to help us pay for the fit out. To get involved with this project will help our fundraising become more streamlined enabling us to support more children.
Christmas in Uganda
Every year, Bridge Christian Ministries hosts a Christmas and Graduation event for students of New Seasons Nursery and Primary School. Our Annual Gift Appeal brings smiles to children who would otherwise go without, by giving them a simple gift to unwrap at Christmas.
Donation Tins
Businesses and individuals raise funds for children in need by popping a collection tin on their counter at work or at home. It’s a wonderful way to get your family and friends or customers, staff and community involved and empty your wallet of that annoying change. It’s amazing how quickly it all adds up. We currently have many businesses in Emerald who are happily getting behind this project with donation tins on their counters. We’re always looking for more businesses and individuals to join us.
Fundraising Dinners
Monthly fundraising dinners is how Future Hope began. Simply invite friends, family or work mates to share a meal together and raise funds for the work of Future Hope. One evening can put a child through school for a whole year. Host a themed dinner, celebrate a special occasion, the ideas are endless but the outcome is the same – helping children in need.
